CERTIFICATIONS
The Cantina di Sorbara winery has held the ISO 9001:2008 certification since 2003. This certification shows that the company organisation conforms to the requisites, which include all production and non-production processes, of the ISO 9001:2008 standard.
With the implementation of the quality system, all the procedures and checks were formalised for guaranteeing the quality of the finished product and for the management system in all the sectors of the company.
The management system also calls for continuous growth and improvement, a commitment which was put into practice by the Cantina di Sorbara when the quality policy was implemented.
From the point of view of on-going improvement, in ?? the winery obtained the ISO 22000 certification which allowed a system of food safety, perfectly integrated with the quality system, to be set up guaranteeing control of all the risks in the production process and the prevention of accidents.
The obligation of traceability of food products was sanctioned by the European Commission Regulation 178/2002; according to this regulation all food companies must prepare a traceability system so that they are able to show which suppliers they bought the raw material from and which customers they supplied their products to.
Since 2005 the Cantina di Sorbara has used a food chain traceability system, according to the ISO 22005 standard, involving the associated agricultural companies and allowing the whole life of the product to be followed from the delivery of the grapes up to the sale of the finished product, recording all the analyses and checks to guarantee the origin, quality and safety of the sparkling wine that comes to your table.
Attention to product quality is linked to the health and safety of the workers and as a consequence the winery has implemented the OHSAS 18001:2007 which focuses on management, prevention and reduction of risks to guarantee a healthy work environment.
